Playlist: Amy Grant's "Home for Christmas" will probably always top the list as favorite Christmas album.
Storybook: I just re-read "Christmas Day in the Morning" last night, and couldn't help but tear up at the end. Such a tender story.
Movie: The Santa Clause! No competition. I love that one through & through.. just ask Nick or members of my fam -- I quote it all year!
Treat: My Mama's famous Holly wreaths! Mmm!
Sound: I just love those jingle bells :)
Tradition I Continue to Do: Putting cookies out for Santa on Christmas Eve :) Num num num.
Newest Tradition: Reading "The Night Before Christmas" on Christmas Eve... so magical!
Hymn: Silent Night might win for that one... we used to always gather at my Grandparents' house and sing hymns, ending with that one. I always loved the beautiful harmony everyone created {even though most of us females sang the alto part ;) Gotta love our low voices..} and my Grandpa had such a deep, rich voice... such a great memory :)
Outing: Going to a Christmas Tree lot & enjoying the beautiful smell and festive-feeling... then buying some mistletoe on our way out :) *smooch*
Looking Forward To: Spending time with the fam over the holiday weekend!
And of course, we wouldn't have Christmas without Christ. I love remembering the perfect example He set for us, and the incomprehensible blessings He made possible for me - and each of us - to obtain. Wow. I'm eternally humbled & grateful for my Savior. I love that selflessness is magnified this time of year, and how everyone's more willing to give. What a great way to emulate & pay tribute to Christ!
