the land of make-believe

As a kid, I loved playing barbies, "house," "school," trolls, witches & wizards, you name it! I thrived on using my imagination to live in whatever world I wanted to live in.

As an adult, well... I still thrive on using my imagination and trying out different worlds. Some call it acting.

The thing I love about acting is that you get to experience... anything. You get to "be" this person or that. You get to "live" in whatever decade/century the story is set in. You get to dress up in fun/crazy/sexy/old-fashioned/artsy wardrobes. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! In a way, you get to continue being a kid.

Not only that, but you have the chance to really inspire peoples' lives and connect with their emotions -- whether it's tickling their funny-bone, bringing out the tears, making them swoon, or encouraging them to be better or go for their dreams. I love that films and shows are basically just visual stories. It takes a lot of creativity and talent to make one worth talking about.

We were watching Les Mis [amazing], and I kept thinking, "Ohh, I wish I could be on that set! I wish I could BE IN THAT MOVIE!" I love that everyone is playing make-believe... especially when it's so well-done, you actually believe what they're making. Such an art.

I'm so excited to use the life out of the video editing program I got for Christmas! Time to crank out the movies [or create a youtube TV series..? ;)]. To storytelling!

Cheers!

PS - Did you see [and love!?] the Golden Globes the other night? We sure did. I love getting into the award shows. So fun & entertaining :)

That's the same way I feel about reading books. As Grandma Brown would say, You Go, Girl! Live your dreams!!
